BOPP is a biaxially oriented polypropylene film. Orienting it in both directions is what gives the film its stiffness and its dimensional stability, so a thin BOPP label still lies flat on the pack and still feeds reliably at line speed. It is waterproof, it does not tear the way paper does, and it accepts a topcoat that lets UV and water-based inks key to the surface instead of sitting on it.
Underneath it sits acrylic adhesive. The liner is a paper grade, specified for release and for runnability rather than for printability. The exact grade is on the data sheet.
This construction sits in the Offset family, which we build for sheet-fed offset presses. The family grouping is not marketing shorthand — it is how the topcoat is chosen.

Supplied as sheets, this construction is aimed at offset houses that print labels alongside their other commercial work and want a predictable, press-ready sheet.
Sheet format lets a converter run a few hundred pieces without committing to a jumbo roll.
Silver, gold and brushed facestocks in sheet form, for packaging that needs a premium surface without a film-lamination step.
This construction is supplied in sheets. Roll-fed presses should take a roll construction instead.
Metallic and brushed facestocks need the press chemistry checked before a long run.
BOPP does not absorb ink the way paper does. The press needs its tension, heat and ink settings confirmed for film before the first production run.
The Self Adhesive PP Sheets series holds 2 constructions in our catalogue. They share the same facestock family, so the differences that matter are adhesive system and liner — and those two decide which jobs each code wins.
Buyers often ask the reverse question: the construction works, but the press changes. These are the codes in other families built on the same facestock type.
