UV inkjet labelstock — 6 measured data sheets

The constructions we coat for UV-cured inkjet presses — Durst, Domino, Xeikon, Handtop and similar platforms. Every sheet states the face material, adhesive system, liner and the values we actually measured on the bench.

What to check in a UV inkjet labelstock

01

Why the face stock decides the result

UV inks are 100% solids and cure in milliseconds, so the ink never has time to settle into an untreated surface. Our top coating holds the surface energy at 38–42 dyne/cm — high enough for the droplet to anchor, controlled enough that it will not bleed into the next dot.

02

Values are measured, not estimated

Loop tack, peel adhesion and shear in every sheet are measured on calibrated instruments to FTM / ISO methods against stainless steel. Where a figure is a typical value we say so; we do not quote best-case numbers as specifications.

03

Where this family is used

Nameplates and industrial markings, colour short-run labels, and any application that has to survive solvent wiping or abrasion. The family also covers white and clear film faces for durable-goods labelling.

How we engineer it

The coating is where UV inkjet is won or lost

Ink laydown and press speed set how fast a droplet must be absorbed. Absorb it too quickly and the dot shrinks, the colour greys out and contrast collapses. Absorb it too slowly and neighbouring droplets merge into a soft, over-gained edge. We match coat weight to your ink laydown and print speed instead of shipping one universal recipe.

  • Surface energy — 38–42 dyne/cm, so the ink anchors without spreading
  • Coat weight — matched to ink laydown and press speed, not a house default
  • Cure compatibility — adhesion tested with both LED and mercury UV inks
