Pick the construction before you pick the supplier

Tell us your container, its radius and your press. We will point you at the right construction from our 115 — with the reasoning, not just a part number. 1 mil = 25.4 µm.

We coat a dedicated receptive layer per press platform — the same 36 µm white film is a different product for UV inkjet and Memjet. Say the word and we will spec the coating for your machine.

Two fields only. We reply within one working day with the TDS — test conditions printed next to every number — and sample terms.

Why thickness is the first decision, not the last

Bending stiffness scales with the cube of thickness. A film 4× thicker is up to 64× stiffer — wrap it around a 25 mm radius and its own elastic memory lifts the edge. No adhesive wins against film memory. That is why a squeezable bottle gets 25–36 µm while a flat panel can take 100 µm: match the film to the radius, then tune everything else around it. All our TDS values are measured with the test conditions published next to the number.

Buyer FAQ

What converters ask before the first order

What thickness of BOPP should I use for a squeezable bottle?
25–36 µm (1–1.4 mil). Bending stiffness scales with the cube of thickness, so a 50 µm film on a 20 mm radius stores enough elastic energy to lift its own edge — no adhesive fixes that. Match the film to the tightest radius on the container, then tune adhesive and liner around it.
Why does my clear label show a white edge on a clear bottle?
Almost always the liner. Clear BOPP on a white glassine liner leaves the die-cut edge of the paper exposed, and on a clear container that reads as a white halo. Three conditions kill it: clear facestock, clear adhesive that will not yellow, and a clear or matched liner — 30 µm PET, not paper.
Which liner do I need for laser die-cutting?
A heavier basis weight — 60 or 80 gsm glassine rather than the standard 54 gsm. The beam has to pass through the face stock without burning through or smoking the liner. For flat-sheet and high-speed auto-labeling, 135 gsm poly-coated kraft holds flatness and resists curl.
How do I compare peel values between two suppliers?
Only if the test conditions match. The same roll can read 6 N/25 mm in one lab and 14 N/25 mm in another — panel type, dwell time, reporting width, temperature and humidity all move the number. Ask for the conditions next to the value; a TDS without them is a brochure, not data.
What is your minimum order quantity?
1,000 m² per construction, on our 1,080 mm coating width, with a 15–25 day lead time. That is deliberately small for a coating mill — most film houses quote by the tonne.
Do you hold ISO 9001, FSC or FDA certificates?
Not in our own name, and we will not pretend otherwise. Where an order requires them we obtain the mill's certificate and a batch COA before you commit — typically 3–5 working days for the adhesive and ink declarations. Ask for the lot-specific document; if it takes more than a week, something is wrong.
